Welcome to the First Nations Digital Democracy blog!
Once a month, undergraduate and graduate students, postdoctoral fellows, faculty and invited guests will share their thoughts and ideas related to First Nations use of digital technologies for community participation. From general ideas about how we do the research, to in depth discussions about building community capacity and self-governance, the content will cover a wide range of issues, in a variety of formats, from a variety of perspectives.
As a reader, you will have the opportunity to find out more about the researchers on this project and their work. This blog will also give you insight into what we’re doing, our thinking about the role of digital technologies such as Internet voting and how it impacts participation and governance in Indigenous communities across Canada.
We welcome discussion about the issues you’ll find here, as well as suggestions on topics that you would like us to cover. Additionally, if you are interested in contributing to the blog, email info@digitalimpactfn.com.
